Perusahaan Asus asal Taiwan pada ajang pameran teknologi baru di CES 2015 Las Vegas selain memperkenalkan smartphone Asus ZenFone 2 dengan teknologi super tinggi turut juga menghadirkan Asus ZenFone Zoom X5550, smartphone ini diklaim pihak Asus sangat cocok untuk para fotografer karena bisa di zoom hingga 3X.
Smartphone ini direncanakan akan rilis pada kuartal ke-2 tahun 2015, speksifikasi Asus ZenFone Zoom ini tak berbeda jauh dengan smartphone Asus ZenFone 2.
